STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASSES
Our small-group dynamic is fun, motivating, and sometimes competitive. We integrate technique and skill practice and highly varied, challenging workouts. Attending at least three classes per week yields best results and best value.
PERSONALIZED TRAINING
Individual training provides focused guidance and coaching tailored to your needs and goals in a 1:1 setting. This can be an ongoing training option or an occasional series or session to tune up your skills or work on specific areas and personal goals. Partner sessions let you train with a friend (or two) with one of our trainers. You receive plenty of individual attention, but at a lower cost per person, and with the advantages of working out with a buddy—for camaraderie, commiseration, and motivation.
STARTING STRENGTH: BASIC BARBELL TRAINING
We have extensive experience with Mark Rippetoe’s lifting and teaching methods and implement much from his Starting Strength throughout our work. We have worked professionally with Rip since 2006. We offer individual and small group coaching using this method. If you want to do a Starting Strength program specifically, check out our 6am and 10am classes on Mon/Wed/Fri.
FULCRUM BARBELL CLUB
For those who want to focus on improving strength and power development for athletics, or on the sport of Olympic weightlifting (for sport-specific development, competition, or recreation), our barbell club meets three times a week (Monday & Wednesday evenings and Friday afternoons, for approximately 90 minutes). We are experienced coaches, providing intelligent program design and organized training. We maintain high-quality equipment to support athletic strength and power development (a clean, productive, and organized training area, power racks, quality Olympic bars, bumper plates, platforms, jerk blocks, etc.). Minimum three-month commitment. Fulcrum also has a Facebook page.
MENTORSHIPS AND TRAINER DEVELOPMENT
We have mentored, trained, and supported many budding and experienced trainers and coaches over the years. Some of them now work in-house at our gym. Many of them now own or work at other gyms or personal training businesses. We are available to coach and mentor both new and experienced trainers. We are supportive, kind, and approachable.
