Oh James, it's not all that puzzling!

Happy holidays!

Gone dark

No evening class Friday, Dec. 15. Alas. It's just too dark and cold with no power in the entire neighborhood. We're optimistic that power will be restored this weekend so we can resume the regular schedule at 6am on Monday.

Stall Mat Mountain - CrossFit Eastside

CrossFit Eastside, Dec. 15, 2005

We took possession of this space one year ago today. There are not words to express our gratitude to all of you in our community who have made it such an amazing year. You guys are even better than we could have imagined.

Keep warm, everyone.

Interrogating Rip

Our good friend, extraordinary lifting coach, and gifted writer Mark Rippetoe, of Wichita Falls, TX, has got his head on remarkably straight when it comes to strength training. He also has a down-to-earth no-nonsense style--and a great Texas accent--that’s a pleasure to listen to. Whether or not you were fortunate enough to meet him when he was at CrossFit Eastside in October, you oughtn’t miss Charles Staley’s recent interview of Rip, available here.

It’s about 50 minutes long, so download the interview, get yourself a cup of coffee, and settle in for a good listen. It’s time well spent.
