Fight gone bad 5

On Saturday, September 25, 2010, CrossFit gyms around the world will be hosting the fifth annual Fight Gone Bad workout and fundraiser (to benefit the Livestrong and CrossFit Foundations and the Wounded Warrior Project). We've hosted the event here in past years, but this year, we'll all go over to Urban CrossFit in Seattle's Westlake neighborhood for the big event, to begin at 10:00am.  We'll also run FGB in the morning and evening classes on Wednesday Sept. 22, if you want to participate but can't make the Saturday time.

Here's what you need to do:

  • Sign up (teams or individuals) on the sign-up sheets at CFES by Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
  • Register online at http://fgb5.org by Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
  • Fundraise (If you raise $150 or more by 6am on Sunday, September 26, 2010, you get a FGB 5 t-shirt.

There are four weight classes, so everyone can play:

Class A: Standard Men = 75-lb push press and sumo deadlift high pull (SDHP), 20-lb wall ball, 20-inch box jump Class B: Modified Men/Standard Women = 55-lb push press and SDHP, 14-lb wall ball, 20-inch box jump Class C: Intermediate = 35-lb push press and SDHP, 8-lb wall ball, 20-inch box jump (step ups are ok) Class D: Beginner/Kids = 15-lb push press and SDHP, 4-lb wall ball (target can be lowered to 8 ft), 10-inch box jumps

New addition

Father and infant daughter Eastside Strength & Conditioning member Andrew is the father of beautiful baby Clara, born July 15 and weighing 3.77 kg--well within Dad's lifting capacity.  :-) Congratulations, Andrew! (And kudos for keeping up your training schedule, despite the sleep interruptions.)

Snow schedule for Monday morning

CrossFit Eastside snow day

Mother Nature has spoken: there will be no classes at 6:00 and 7:00 am on Monday, Dec. 22. But the 9:00 am class is ON and all who can get through the snow to be here are welcome. Hope to see you then.

We plan at this point to hold evening classes on Monday. Check the site in the afternoon for any updates.

Keep warm and safe out there, y'all.
