Thrown under the bus

CrossFit strongman bus pull
Why pull a bus? One, because it’s fun to try. Two, because it tests you. Three, because it’s for a great cause, done with a strong community.

The great local CrossFit community gathered for Rainier CrossFit’s third annual “Rainier’s Strongest Man and Woman” event. They walked heavily weighted yokes down a course, deadlifted a giant log, pulled the big red double-decker bus, pressed a variety of heavy things overhead, and, Atlas-like, hoisted weighty stones up onto platforms. CFES had just one entrant this year (strong work, Jeralee!), but we were out in force as spectators and supporters, as always.

Evening schedule revision, June 2 & 3

On Monday & Tuesday, June 2 & 3, we will have only one evening class, at 5:00pm. This time is open to all athletes and levels, so come on in. Morning schedules remain as usual on those days.

On both nights, the gym is reserved from 6-9:00pm for a POSE running clinic with visiting coach Michael Collins. If you've registered for one of those, we'll see you there!

Time out

CrossFit Eastside will be closed this Monday, May 26, 2008, for the Memorial Day holiday. No classes or nuthin'. (Gotta give Aaron some time to work on his double-bi pose in front of the mirror). So y'all just take a much-deserved day of rest, relaxation, and remembrance, and we'll see you at the usual times on Tuesday.
